These pads have been improved, via longer straps that can be cut down if needed, the straps give a better secure fit . Also the added leather patch protection on the inside of pads is for the stopper pad and should be placed at the bottom over the dew claw when fitting. Please use the leather side on the outside. The pads now have longer straps for a more secure fit
My passion for Flyball ignited in the late 90s, and for 15 years, I shared the thrill of competition with my canine companions. Back then, stopper pad protection was primarily made of faux suede, a material that simply wasn't robust enough for the demands of high-impact activities like Flyball.
Then, came Kobi, my beloved lurcher. Witnessing his powerful stops and turns, I knew the readily available options wouldn't hold up. Vet wrap, while offering some protection, proved cumbersome and fiddly to apply.
Driven by a desire to better protect Kobi and countless other active dogs, I embarked on a quest for a superior solution. What I soon realised was that these pad and dew claw injuries were worryingly common, not just in high-impact sports like Flyball, but also in everyday situations like running in the park or exploring new trails. This only fueled my determination to find a better solution.
The answer? Neoprene. This innovative material combined waterproof durability with the flexibility needed for a comfortable fit. Leather provided further strength and abrasion resistance on the back and dew claw areas.
Thus, Forest Fleece Stopper Pad Protectors were born. Not only did they effectively shield paws and claws from injury, but their design ensured a secure and comfortable fit for all-weather use.
While my Flyball days are behind me, the passion for providing exceptional protection for our dogs remains. Today, Forest Fleece Stopper Pad Protectors continue to be meticulously crafted and delivered worldwide, offering peace of mind to dog owners and a safe, comfortable experience for their active companions, be it a champion athlete, a weekend warrior, or an everyday adventurer.
